About Us
Frozen Ropes Yogurt & Açaí Bowls opened its doors in Pensacola, Florida, on August 22,
2020. The founders, Dave and Jennifer Partrick, embarked on this journey with the goal of creating a frozen yogurt shop that would bring joy and refreshment to their community, even in the midst of a global pandemic. As natives of Pensacola, their commitment to the city and its people was paramount.
The name "Frozen Ropes" has a rich significance. It is derived from an old baseball term that describes a hard-hit line drive. This reference to baseball is deeply personal for Dave, who was drafted out of high school in the 8th round of the 1988 Major League Baseball draft by the California Angels. He went on to spend six seasons in the minor leagues with the Angels organization. The transition from baseball to business was a natural one, with both requiring determination, focus, and teamwork.
Beyond baseball, the name "Frozen Ropes" carries a spiritual meaning as well. The acronym
"R.O.P.E.S.," which stands for "Rely On Prayer Every Second," was created by the Partricks and their son. It reflects the founders' Christian faith and the values they wanted to infuse into their business. This commitment to faith and community became a cornerstone of Frozen Ropes.
Despite opening during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Frozen Ropes quickly became a local favorite. The shop offers a variety of frozen yogurt flavors and refreshing açai bowls, crafted with high-quality ingredients. The friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community make it a welcoming place for families, friends, and anyone seeking a sweet treat.
Today, Frozen Ropes Yogurt & Açaí Bowls stands as a testament to the Partricks' dedication and resilience. The business continues to grow, grounded in the principles of faith, family, and service. The founders' background in baseball, along with their unwavering commitment to their values, has created a unique and thriving addition to the Pensacola community.
